How can I install an update which is free of charge?

You do not need to uninstall the older version of Visual Localize. Just download the update from the website. Install it over your existing version of Visual Localize.
You do not need to request a new license key.

Where can I find the full version 7 (NET) & (PREMIUM) for download?

For the download of the full version 7 (NET) & (PREMIUM) your user account on our website needs to be activated. As soon as we receive your order and the payment we will activate your account for the download of the full version 7 (NET) & (PREMIUM). Until then this version is hidden on the website.

When I have generated target files in the Demo version, some phrases are not localized although they have been translated before.

In the Demo version 50 percent of ALL resources (string table, dialogs and menus) are chosen at random and are rewritten into the target files. Therefore it can happen that a translated phrase will not be written into the target files. There are no restrictions with our full version of Visual Localize.

I have tested the demo-version and cannot translate the whole application.

If you use the demo-version of Visual Localize, you will only be allowed to translate 50 percent of all source phrases. The phrases which are translatable are chosen at random.

After entering the license key the error message "Wrong license key" appeared.

If our license key which was sent to you is not accepted by your machine please contact our support.

I bought Visual Localize, but after its installation the program runs in Demo mode. How can I register the program?

Please install Visual Localize on your harddisk. At the start-up dialog of Visual Localize please click on the "Register..." button and then on the "Order license..." button. A registration form will then be opened. Please fill out the registration form completely. After completion of the registration form a registration-email will be generated automatically. Please send this registration-email (Subject: "Request for Visual Localize License") to our registration server (registration(at)aitag.com). After receiving your payment, a personal license key will be sent to you via email.

When changing my computer, how can I transfer my Visual Localize license to the new device?

There are two possibilities to export your license to another computer:

  1. You terminate your license and request a new (equivalent) license for the new device from us.
  2. You export your license from your own to another device.

How (When) to export my Visual Localize license? (Export of license)

The license of Visual Localize is system bound. This means that Visual Localize will run as a full version (without any restrictions) only on the device for which the license was generated and entered. If the license is to be used by another employee or translator, it is necessary to export the license to his or her device (before Visual Localize is removed from your computer).
In order to export the license please follow the instructions below:

  1. Please install Visual Localize on your new (target) computer.
  2. At the start-up dialog of Visual Localize please click on the "Register.." button. An individual reference key of the new device will then be displayed. Please write down this reference key containing 24 digits.
  3. In a second step, please run Visual Localize on your device and select "Help" from the menu. In the submenu please select the menu item "About Visual Localize...". The dialog "Program information" opens.
  4. Please click on the "Export license to file" button. The dialog "License Export" opens.
  5. Now you have to enter the noted reference key (of the new target computer). Visual Localize will generate an export file "visloc.vli" which contains the specific license key for the target computer (of your colleague).
  6. At the target device start Visual Localize and click on the "Import license from file..." button. Then you have to select the previously generated export file ("vislic.vli") for its import.

How (When) to terminate my Visual Localize license? (Termination of license)

The license of Visual Localize is system bound and has to be terminated before a fee required update can be installed. In addition to this, it is absolutely necessary to terminate the license before the hardware or your operating system (e.g. change of the OS, updates - see also our license agreements) is changed. Another reason to terminate your license is the change of your computer.
After the termination of your license Visual Localize will run in Demo mode. However, a valid termination key authorizes you to request an equivalent new license free of charge! Your termination key is used to verify that your previous license was terminated appropriately and should be kept safe.
In order to terminate your license please follow the instructions below:
Please start the program and select "Help" from the Visual Localize menu. In the submenu please select the item "About Visual Localize...". A dialog will be opened. Please click on the "Terminate license" button. Your termination key will be displayed.

How to register a chargeable update (Add-On) for Visual Localize?

In order to install a chargeable update (e.g. an Add-On such as the MS database- or XML translation engine), you have to terminate your existing license first! For this please start the program and select "Help" from the Visual Localize menu. In the submenu please select the item "About Visual Localize...". A dialog will open. Please click on the "Terminate license..." button. Your termination key will be displayed. Keep this termination key safe!
This termination key is used as verification and has to be sent to us before an update (Add-On) can be activated.
IMPORTANT: After termination of your license Visual Localize will run in demo mode with function restrictions until you have received a new license for your update.

How to register Visual Localize in order to get a full version?

Please install Visual Localize on your hard disk. At the start-up dialog of Visual Localize please click on "Register..." button and then on the "Request license..." button. A registration form will then be opened. Please fill out this registration form completely.
Note: If you have purchased the Visual Localize (PREMIUM) edition please check on the 2 checkboxes "XML-Engine" and "Database-Engine" (To activate a PREMIUM Edition please check on all checkboxes.).
After completion of the registration form a registration-email will be generated automatically. Send this registration-email (Subject: "Request for Visual Localize License") to our registration server (registration(at)aitag.com). After receiving your payment a personal license key will be sent to you via email.
