1.1.4 Tab: XML

  1. Please select the XML file (*.xml) for translation in the XML Files grid via the small browse button . A common 'file open' dialog will appear. On this dialog please select your XML file and confirm your selection via the OK button.

  2. Please select the corresponding *.XID file (XML Import Definition) for your XML file by clicking on the small browse button in the XID Files gird. A common 'open file' dialog will appear. On this dialog please select your *.XID file which was used to configure the phrases for translation in your XML file and confirm your selection via the OK button.

The XID file contains the "instruction" which parts of the XML file have to be translated . Without a XID file, Visual Localize will automatically import only the content of the tag value for translation:
    For example:
This phrase will be configured for translation only

In case that a XID file was configured, you can also filter the XML file or define attributes for being translated.

  3. OPTIONAL: Please select a extensible stylesheet language (XSL) file for your XML file. This stylesheet file (*.xsl) will be used to create a preview (in the Resource window) with the correct layout for your XML file. In case that no XSL file was defined, Visual Localize will display the structure of the XML file as preview.
