Please select the compiled help file (*.chm) for translation in the CHM Files grid via the small browse button . A common 'file open' dialog will appear. On this dialog please select your CHM file and confirm your selection via the OK button.
Please select the corresponding *.hhp file for your CHM file by clicking on the small browse button in the HHP Files gird. A common 'file open' dialog will appear. On this dialog please select your HHP file which was used to create the original source CHM file and confirm your selection via the OK button.
The HHP file is the "construction plan" for the CHM file. Without this HHP file, Visual Localize will NOT be able to create a new compiled CHM target file!
In this case Visual Localize will write all decompiled and translated components (topics *.htm, browsing sequence *.brs, glossary *.glo, table of contents *.hhc, index *.hhk ) from the CHM file into the specified target folder.
So it is very important that the *.hhp file matches with the corresponding *.chm file. If you are using an authoring tool like RoboHelp® or Doc-to-Help® to create your CHM files, please contact your vendor where to find the corresponding HHP file.

We recommend that you test the *.HHP file matches to the *.CHM file BEFORE starting your translation. You can do this by testing to create a target file. |
