With the menu item Edit Project... the user can correct existing source files or add additional source files (e.g. Binary files, Resource files,....) or change language definitions and font settings of an existing project. In addition to this the localization manager can also update the project version string when a new software release shall be translated.
A project can only be edited when it is loaded and activated. This is how it is done:
Select menu item Edit Project... from the menu Edit.
The following dialog Edit Project appears where changes can be made:
In the text field Project version the localization manager can insert a version string which will be named to label the complete project with its modules. This functionality is very helpful to ensure that each translator is working on the correct version.
Via the button Show history Visual Localize will open a project history dialog containing the history for each module stored in the localization project.
With the Source of translation combo box Language, you can change the source language for your localization project. This operation can be necessary if you have selected the wrong source language. For example:. "German (Switzerland)" instead of "German (Germany)"
With the Target of translation combo box Language, you can change the target language for your localization project. This operation is very helpful when you have to translate your application modules into different languages.
It is important to select a Display font which also supports all characters from the Source Language.
Therefore please click on the browse button on the right side of the default system language (here "MS Sans Serif, 10 Italic").
A system Font dialog will be opened. Please select an installed font type and also the Script to be used with this font.
With the button Support DLLs (at the bottom of the dialog) you can add third party libraries (for example Syncfusion™ files) to your localization project which are necessary for creating the target files from your translated source files. These Support DLLs will not be displayed in the Project window and will also not be translated. These "help files" are only necessary for creating the localized target files in case the translator does not have them installed on his computer .

In case that you want to translate your application containing into several target languages, we recommend creating a "master" localization project (*.prj) which will be used as "template" for all other target language: Then use the explorer to create the same amount of copies than target languages you want to support.
